I love this book so much. And even though she's not even Japanese, Zhang Ziyi did an admirable job playing Sayuri/Chiyo. I still totally prefer the book though

This painting is not really meant to be super-realistic, so please don't look at it that way. I hope you enjoy it! I had a ton of fun painting it

This is gorgeous. You did an amazing job. And I have to agree with you, I prefer the book over the movie. =)

I really liked Memoirs of a Geisha...the movie did pretty well sticking to the book. They fudged up the costumes and make-up but that's understandable since the american view of beauty is so different...very very good picture!
